Customers are the lifeblood of your business. Without them, what would you do? As such, it’s worthwhile to get to know their needs, motivations and shopping habits. It’s important to offer them quality products and fair pricing. And it’s valuable to provide them with great customer service, before, during and after they make a purchase.

So when you’ve done everything right by the customer, and they still find an excuse to make a stink, it may be time to say, “sayonara.” After all, as a business owner, you have the right to refuse service to anyone.

If you must cancel an account to prevent a customer from purchasing from your store again, follow these steps:

  1. In your Admin Area, go to Customers > Accounts
  2. Search for and/or click on the customer ID you want to modify
  3. From the the Access Key menu, select Cancelled/No Access
  4. Click Save

We hope you never have to deal with a difficult customer. But sometimes you can do everything right and they will still find something wrong. If a customer crosses a line that you’re not comfortable with, it may be time to part ways. Your store, your rules. The ability to ban a customer from making a purchase, or even visiting your store, should provide you some sense of comfort and protection.
