Volusion gives you the option to add email accounts to your hosting plan for $2.00 each. Each mailbox has a storage limit of 25GB, an attachment limit of 50MB, and a send limit of 250 recipients per message in any given period of time.
This can come in especially handy for marketing to and supporting your existing customers. Newsletters, promos, and post-purchase follow-ups are personal, efficient, and cost-effective ways to let them know you value their business.
Email is also a great way for you to communicate with your staff, and to network with other industry professionals and business partners.

Adding Mailboxes to an Existing Hosting Plan
You can add or increase your store's email accounts without having to upgrade your hosting plan. To do so, log in to your account at my.volusion.com and follow these steps:
Under My Account, click Plans/Orders,
Locate the line that shows Email Accounts (# included in plan). Click ADD next to the current mailbox quantity.
On the next page, select the number of email accounts you'd like to add to your hosting plan.
Then click the Confirm button at the bottom of the page.
Your next monthly statement will show a line item with the updated number of email accounts and their prices. If you decide you don't need as many email accounts in the future, you can follow the same process to decrease the number associated with your hosting plan.
You'll be able to configure your new mailboxes immediately after adding them to your plan. If you previously pointed your MX Records to a third-party host, be sure to point them back to Volusion under my Stores > Manage DNS. Note that it may take up to an hour for new MX records to fully propagate.
Our email service provider, Rackspace, has a zero-tolerance policy against Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE). And if they detect that an email account is being used for SPAM, they may delete it entirely, with or without prior notice. So, please use your mailboxes responsibly to inform your customers, establish an ongoing dialogue, and incentivize repeat business.
