If you sell products that your customers like to give as gifts, you’ll may want to activate gift options on your storefront.

To get started, go to Settings > Config Variables in your Admin Area. Select Checkout Variables from the Filter dropdown and select Enable Gift Wrap Option. Customers will now see a Show gift options during checkout check box on the shopping cart page.

Note that these gift wrap options are only visible on the storefront for products configured with a Gift Wrap Cost under the product details Pricing tab in the Advanced Info section.

When a customer enters a gift note for their order, it appears on the order details page. This note field displays under the order’s Gift Notes tab. Both appear on the invoice and packing slip. You can also print a [Gift] version of the invoice with the same details, but without the payment and pricing information.

Note that shipping an item to a different address than the one listed on a credit card increases your susceptibility to fraud. To learn about your address field options, see our video called How to Configure Address Fields.
